On Saturday 15 May 2010 Saffron Walden Annual Mayor Making Ceremony took place, continuing a tradition which can probably be traced back as far as 1514.

The new Mayor is Councillor Bob Eastham and the Mayoress is Miss Sara Grimshaw.

The Deputy Mayor is Councillor Cliff Treadwell.

The charities which Bob has chosen to support are the Carver Barracks Injured Soldiers Fund and Shake-A-Leg Theatre Company.
